Myrtle Beach, SC

Here’s few shots from this weekend at Myrtle Beach. This was our last mini-vacation before Isabella’s birth. I’ll upload more photos when we get back tomorrow. The drive was a little over 12 hours. Max slept all the way, but Zachariah kept me company throughout the drive. Every since he saw photos of the beach and the indoor pool, he was all fired up. Zachariah made sure I was driving to Myrtle Beach.
We stayed at Captain's Quarters. The pools and the beach front access was nice, but the furnishing inside was from the 70s. I'll upload more photos when we get back tomorrow.
Max had no fear of the water, you’ll see him charging to make a splash. Zachariah has now officially mastered swimming.

The view at night.

The lighthouse in Oak Island, NC. We were disappointed that the doors were locked - so we didn't get to see from the top.

Just outside one of the local boating docks near a seafood grill in NC.

Here's the b-day girl with the two boys.

Captain's Quarters offered 16 bowling lanes - this was a nice bonus staying at the place. The furnishings reminded me of Mr.Roper's apartment setting from The Threes Company, but the amenities with the bowling lanes and pool made up for it.
Zachariah's first bowling experience...I was very rusty.

Flash cards

Yesterday, Zachariah surpised with his ability to recognize words. We haven't started any formal reading lessons, other than reading short stories. We're truly thankful for Baby Einstein dvds. Zachariah started young watching the series.

Here's a short clip of him and me with the flash cards. The words are printed one side and the picture of the word on the back side. He was able to get most of them.
