Gymsport

After a long break, Zachariah's back in the groove of things. He started gymnastics again with his gym friends and Coach Irene.

The only time he will willingly take a nap is on Mondays (gymnastics day). He knows I will not take him unless he naps...

Third week back and Zachariah is back into the old routine. Here's photos from today (Jan. 26th).
First - the kids gather around to stretch and warm up...just like the professionals.

The Crab-walk

You can probably guess this one – his favorite.

Mastering the balance beam. They first learn to walk on the beam. ..

Then comes the hops, and high kicks.

The express train to the next routine…

The uneven bars…except they are just learning to master the flip.

Ok..he’s got a long way in making the Iron Cross.

Back to the shorter bars to work on the reverse flip.

A true Olympian must also learn how to finish before he can start.

The kids’ motivation to continue with the grilling exercise is the 5 minutes they are alloted to play in the “jungle”…or as it’s called, JUNGLE TIME! It’s really a jungle in there with 10+ screaming toddlers jumping, running, zipping, and bumping into things and each other.
